With all this talk about Global Warming and what we as humans are doing to trash our only home, Earth, I felt it was time to also find out and share what we were doing right. I mean things that did not make our earth Hot. Hence the name of the blog That’s Cool!

Those who are eager to move on the actual contents of this blog please go ahead and browse the blog and do give your feedback on the articles. But now or later please read about my dream project below and share your views on it and whether you would like to get involved with it and how. Thank you.

The GOODNEWSPAPER

This blog is also a sort of precursor to an idea I have, that is to make it just as easy for all to have access to the GOOD NEWS that is happening in the world as much as the BAD. The latter gets shoved down our eyes, ears, throats and often in India through our nostrils, while the good is often hidden behind. This makes it difficult for even the most optimistic person to not feel that everything around us is spiraling downwards and we are helpless victims or at best spectators with no power to do anything about it.

I suspected this was not true and a little digging revealed that far from bad, there was GREAT NEWS out there happening being done by so many. People needed to know this, not just because it was news, but also for themselves. Just so that each one of us realises that there is no need to give up on our dreams and ideals as we grow up. Knowing that people out there are successfully doing it day in and day out, maybe with a lot of difficulty, but nevertheless doing it. But how do we do it? The ‘System’ seems to have fine tuned a way to thwart an individual’s feeble attempts to remain ‘idealistic’, ‘clean’, ‘green’ or anything that is obviously ‘good’ for the world. (the ‘ ‘ is simply because words can often be taken to mean whatever is convenient for the reader’s world view). So as a ‘Designer’ can I provide an easy source for people to know of ‘Good News’ happening and then a mode in which they can get involved in whatever way their life allows them to, whether with a GIANT LEAP or baby steps.

This was the conception of the GOODNEWSPAPER. Simply put, this is a Portal for people to READ, REPORT and also CREATE GOODNEWS in the world.

Since I was relatively disconnected from the internet technology for a long time, I felt as a ‘Designer’ I needed to jump into the pool & learn to swim. This blog therefore, is part of the labour pains that I decided, was worth going through and I expect the baby to be delivered soon.
